Its a Post

I know, I know. Its been about 2 weeks since my last posting. I’ve been so busy and haven’t had time to post. I’m still here! I’m doing some tweaking to the site so bear with me. I need to do some updates to my stats as well…

Things of new…

  • Still job hunting, have been on some interviews but haven’t found the dream position as of yet
  • Sold one of our vehicles in order to buy a larger vehicle, which did bring on some debt, I know I know, not FRUGAL, however we have our reasons and it is defnitely worth the debt!
  • I’ll be posting more soon and doing a new video hopefully this evening

Let the Job Search Begin

I’m official on my ***Aggresive*** job search! I know what I want and I know I will achieve it. I have found after my years of working that I know what to look for in a company and what will make me happy and content in my future job. It is exciting to be open to the new possbilities even when I am shutting the door on my last job. I feel very good that I made the right choice and I will take with me many experiences and a whole lot of knowlege in an industry that I knew very little about before I started.

I will keep you updated on my search and experiences :)

I’m still here :)

I haven’t posted in a week!!!

Let me explain why!!! About 9 days ago, I went to the hospital because I kept having these dizzy spells. Lately I have been so exhausted as well. It turns out that I was dehydrated and had a very low blood pressure. So, they put fluids through an IV and i have a medication for my Vertigo (dizzyness). But, I think the dizzyness is because of the low blood pressure. I am better now, still having occasional dizzyness. However, I am drinking more water, so I hope that fixes the dizzyness in time.

Then, last weekend I had the kids. So, I was pretty busy with them. We went to Chuck E Cheese and then on Saturday we went to the movies. Bianca and I saw “The Last Song” with Miley Cyrus and the boys saw, Clash of the Titans with my husband. So, everyone had a nice evening. It wasn’t too frugal, though! lol I think we spent around $100 on the tickets and snacks! Thats okay though, everyone had fun and thats what matters!!!! :)

Another thing that is going on is my job. My regular job.  Business hasn’t been too well as you may know, in the mortgage industry. So, my company is being merged with another company. My position is not going to be happening at my current office, but in the HQ in another state. So, basically my job doesn’t exist. However, I was offered another position, which I’ve done before and could do. However, I have decided to not go with the new company. There are many reasons. But the main one is money. In the new position other people make about $6 more per hour than what I would make, and I wouldn’t be full time. I feel like it would be degrading to my skills and abilities to take this other position. I am very good at my job and deserve to be with a company that recognizes that. I would rather leave than put my self down like that. I have belief that I will find a company that will pay me what I deserve and recognize my abilities. So there you go!

So, I am finishing up some “loose ends” at the old company, but I will be working more hours at my part time job, until I find the perfect job! :) I know it make take some time, but I have faith I will find a good job that I will enjoy and my abilities will be put to good use.

HSA~Health Savings Account

Do you have a Health Savings Account? Its also known as a HSA. I recently got health insurance, privately, not through my employer. When I started my insurance, they introduced me to a HSA Account. I had no idea what it was. However, I was intrigued so I signed up with Chase Bank’s HSA plan.

What Is A Health Savings Account?

A HSA is a tax free Health Savings Account that builds interest for future Medical Expenses.  It is only available to those who are enrolled in a High-Deductable Health Insurance Plan.

Your HSA can be used for expenses not covered by your High Deductable Health Insurance Plan. Those expenses includes:

  • Dr Visits
  • Eye Exams,glasses,contacts
  • Dental exams and Cleanings
  • Priscriptions

What Are The Benefits Of A Health Savings Account?

  • Tax-Free Interest
  • Convenience-Having a Card that is exclusively for your health expenses
  • Easy Tracking-You can easily keep track of what you spend out of pocket through your Plan’s website
  • Slowly being able to save money for unknown future medical expenses

DEPOSIT LIMITS

In 2010,  if you are single you can deposit up to $3050 and if you are married you can deposit up to $6150

Finally

I just joined this month. I have made my first deposit. I transferred from my checking account to my HSA. It took about 3 days. I am excited about it because I think it will be a fantastic way to track my spending. Plus, I really want an exclusive account to save for the future Medical Expenses.  I’ll update this post with more information as I continue with my HSA.
